Operating principle
NORMAL MODE
- D1 and D2 are closed
- D3 is open
- The "STATO-ALTERNATOR" rotates at 1500 RPM and
- Regulates downstream voltage
- Supplies reactive power upstream
- Eliminates micro cuts
- Filters harmonics upstream and downstream in combination with the
choke

MAINS FAILURE/EMERGENCY MODE
- D1 opens
- The inductive coupling is activated in order to maintain
the frequency at 50Hz ± 1% during the transient period
- The engine starts
- The electromagnetic clutch is closed within 1 second
after opening of D1
- When the engine reaches 1500 RPM it assumes the load
- The speed of the accu-rotor is brought back to 2600
RPM before acceptance of the mains
NB: In the event of an electrical starter failure, the
engine start is forced by the synchronous machine within one second after
opening of D1, which ensures a 100% guaranteed start of the engine.

MAINS RETURN
- Synchronization of the "NO-BREAK KS"® with
the mains by closing D1 (when the accu-rotor reaches its rated speed)
- opening of the clutch
- diesel runs at no load for cooling and stops
